This chunky oversized crocheted asymmetrical strap tote bag in cream is the perfect bag to take anywhere. Sling it over your shoulder, this chunky bag will sit somewhere around your hips, and fit everything you need for a day at the park or a thrifting trip with pals.

This bag is one of my favorites to make, but I've only ever made three! Mine, this cream one, and a black and red one that sold pretty fast.

This is made with a wool/acrylic blend, to machine washable, and you *can* dry it in the dryer, but I recommend hanging it over your shower curtain or something because it can shrink a tiny bit if get's too hot.

Over time this bag may felt a little bit, meaning the stitches start to look like a solid fabric vs single crochet stitches. This is 100% normal, and wanted actually. Felting the bag will help it stay together better, but it is a blended yarn so it won't be 100% smooth like a 100% wool bag would.

My hand wash tips: I recommend not messing with it too much, fill the wash bin/sink/tub space with a splash of zero wash wool wash (I really like Soak in Celebration) and water at a temperature a small newborn baby could safely stick their hand into. Submerge the fabric fully, letting it soak for 10-15 minutes, drain and gently ring out the fabric. Either use a salad spinner to remove excess water, or lay flat in a towel and roll it up, then step on the towel to squish out water, unroll and hang to dry over shower curtain or on a (non-metal/rusting) hanger.
